Green Card – Lawful Permanent Residency

Back to all Practice Areas

A United States citizen, lawful permanent resident or United States employer can sponsor a qualifying family member or employee for a green card. A Green Card holder is a person who has been granted authorization to live and work in the United States on a permanent basis. After a certain length of time, permanent residents who have shown good moral character and have the ability to speak, read and write English and pass an exam on United States history and government can apply for citizenship through naturalization.
